• One of the nine students from IIT Kharagpur selected for participation in the 4th Indo-German Winter Academy 2005 at Jamshedpur, India, organized by University of Erlangen-Nürnberg Germany, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur and IIT Guwahati.    (December 2005).

• One of the approximately hundred students throughout India to be awarded the prestigious Summer Research Fellowship - 2004 by Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, to work on a summer project at NAL, Bangalore. (May 2004).

• One out of the two students selected from IIT Kharagpur for an internship at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics, University of Erlangen-Nürnberg Germany, in summer 2006, from a pool of 45 students who attended the Winter Academy 2005. (May – July 2006).

• Won the 1st prize in Pi – The annual Product Design Inter Hall competition held at IIT Kharagpur. (October 2003)

•  Won the 2nd prize in Pi for two consecutive years (October 2004 and October 2005)
