A year has passed since the tsunami. While many of the displaced in Sri Lanka are still living in temporary shelters, Hela Sarana has made huge strides in regenerating the south of the island.

Hela Sarana has completed Phase I of the housing project (constructing 52 new homes in Peraliya, Galle) and has already commenced building the fifty houses of Phase II.

Furthermore, we are taking care of the welfare of one hundred tsunami orphans in the district of Hambantota in association with Shilpa Organization in Sri Lanka.
